nature can make my walks drudgery
i never believe a day
heaven sent or yet another
something escaped from hell
nature does not make bad or good days
nature only makes days different
i can listen to thunder and rains prater
passing hours on the porch
an afternoon lying in the sun
my days are never drudgery
nature is nature and i accept
it really could care less
as Darwin was to learn
faith heaped upon some wasp
i put my faith in the day
not in what humanity ascribes to
each day has no past or future
each day does have a purpose
starting with acceptance
the chance to better it all
nature replenishes
humanity can suck you dry
explaining away the hours
i prefer the song of the robin in spring
we share a similar nature
sing, write a few lines
enjoying the day we choose to shape
